FAQ
Pinterest dark mode FAQ
Does Pinterest have a dark mode on desktop?
No. The Pinterest apps for iPhone and Android follow your phone's dark mode, but pinterest.com in a desktop browser stays white. Unthemed adds the dark mode the website is missing.
Is Unthemed free?
Yes, completely. There is no paid plan and no account to create.
Which browsers does it work in?
Chrome, Firefox and Edge on desktop. Edge installs it from the Chrome Web Store. There is no Safari version yet.
Can I keep my computer light and only Pinterest dark?
Yes. Pick dark from the Unthemed toolbar icon. A theme you set yourself wins over the system setting until you switch back to system.
Why is Pinterest still white after I installed it?
Reload the Pinterest tab. A page that was open during the install does not pick Unthemed up until it reloads. If a theme still does not apply, restart the browser.
Does Unthemed download pins?
No. It only changes how Pinterest looks. To save a whole board as files, use Unpinned, our Pinterest board downloader.
Is Unthemed made by Pinterest?
No. Unthemed is an independent extension by Uninspired Studio, a two-person studio in Berlin. It is not affiliated with Pinterest.
