Paste-a-link downloader websites are not in the table. They fetch one pin at a time from a server that is not logged into Pinterest, so they cannot see a board, a private board or a full-size image. The comparison page explains why that limit is structural.
Pick by what you need
If you want a free tool you can actually use every week, install Unpinned. Fifty pins a day with no board count is the only free tier here that covers a normal month of moodboarding without paying. Pin Kit's 2 boards a month and Pin Toolbox's first 15 pins are trials.
Highest rated is Pin Kit, and it is not close on sample size. 372 ratings at 4.9 with a Featured badge. Chrome only, and the free tier is small, but if store ratings are your filter, that is the answer. Unpinned vs Pin Kit goes through where the $79 a year goes.
Pay once and Pinpasta's $29.99 lifetime licence is the only non-subscription. No video, and the free ZIP stops at 20 pins. Unpinned vs Pinpasta also corrects their claim that Unpinned is Chrome-only.
Figma paste is Pinpasta's plugin. Unpinned's route is folders, covered in sections to folders and Figma.
PDF moodboards and printing point to Pin Toolbox or Pin Kit. Pin Toolbox is the older tool, the most installed, and at €14.99 a month the most expensive by a wide margin. Unpinned vs Pin Toolbox has the detail.

Notes on the numbers
Pin Toolbox's site lists €14.99 a month. Older comparisons, including one of ours before this roundup, wrote $14.99.
Pin Kit does not publish prices on its homepage. The $79 a year comes from their store copy and their own comparison article.
Pinpasta's store listing says it works with sectioned boards. Pinpasta's own comparison page says the ZIP does not keep sections as folders. We list it as disputed rather than pick a side.
PinSuite's listicle credits Unpinned with 4.9 stars. Our store listing says 4.3 from 35, so we are not taking the compliment. PinSuite's own listing showed 4.8 from 4 ratings, and four ratings is not a rating.

FAQ
Is there a free Pinterest board downloader with no limit?
No. Every tool here caps the free tier somewhere. Unpinned's cap resets daily, which is the closest thing to unlimited for personal use.
Do any of these need my Pinterest password?
No. All five run inside your browser and use the session you already have. Unpinned's security page lists the one permission it asks for. Check the others' listings for theirs. Running in your own session is also what lets an extension download a private board you can already open.
Which is fastest?
